Matte canvas, made from a cotton and polyester composite.
Hanging hardware pre-mounted (screws/nails for wall hanging not included).
Frame made with radial pine, ethically sourced from FSC certified, renewable forests.
Rubber dots on bottom back corners, to keep the frame hanging in place.
Printed with Latex inks, non-hazardous, non-toxic and non-flammable.
Care instructions:
Simply wipe off the canvas with a clean, damp cloth.
Recommended to keep out of direct sunlight, to ensure the longevity of the colors.
This is the first piece in the “Destiny’s Gateway” collection, when the idea for the piece came, it needed a collection of its own to convey the message that lay within the canvas.
It tackles a weighted, yet motivating narrative - setting out on a journey, and finding the courage to actually do so.
The road ahead is treacherous, yet it is painted with an inviting orange, seductively inviting our hero onwards.
His journey begins with lust - a desire to gain whatever reward lies at the summit. - Be it wealth, love or a legacy. Although his path is set in stone by his unfaltering will, the very reason for his journey, will prove whether or not he reaches his final destination.
Our character in question must overcome the battle within, while encountering uncertainties along his chosen path.
This piece stands as a testament to the fact that we must face our fears in order to achieve our dreams, that we must dare to dream, dare to challenge ourselves and dare to set out on our journey - although the conditions may not be perfect. We ought to push ourselves beyond the Threshold of Beginnings, and when the feet of the summit lie behind us, the days when we dreaded our new beginning will have faded.
